Flowing Rivers Ministries was birthed in 2010 in the heart of its founder, Pastor Samson Baptist, in response to a divine call to raise people who would impact their communities through Christ-centred leadership and practical service.
Beginning with six people in an Essex living room, the ministry grew from its weekly Overflow Bible Study into a missional work serving communities locally, nationally and internationally.
We believe the Church must be felt beyond its walls. Flowing Rivers exists to be God’s arm extended to the poor, the destitute and the weary soul, demonstrating Christ’s love through biblical teaching, evangelism, humanitarian support, leadership development and practical service. Our activities include street missions supporting the homeless, food bank provision, elderly care, prison ministry, children’s and youth initiatives, international missions and community outreach. Through this work, we seek to meet needs, restore dignity, develop people and transform lives.
Raising and equipping leaders to serve their generation and invest in the next remains central to our calling. Our mission is to preach Christ through both proclamation and demonstration, making His love visible wherever we serve.

Birthing Life Within: Fostering a genuine relationship with Jesus, reconciliation with the Father and empowerment by the Holy Spirit.
Birthing Life Together: Promoting unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace among all members of the Church, where true growth takes place.
Birthing Life Around: Deploying servant-minded members to serve local communities through the initiatives outlined above.
Birthing Life Beyond: Extending this servant-hearted approach internationally, including through our outposts in Kenya, where we have a children’s home and a church plant.
Samson Baptist
Pastor Samson Baptist is the Lead Pastor and custodian of the vision of Flowing Rivers Ministries Worldwide. With over three decades of pastoral ministry, his calling is marked by apostolic teaching, leadership development and a deep passion to see the Church transform the communities it serves.
At the heart of his ministry is a defining conviction:
“I was not called simply to pastor a church, but to pastor a city. No one man can pastor a city; it takes a people to pastor a city. My responsibility is to raise a people who can pastor the city.”
This conviction drives his commitment to raise, equip and release people who will carry the influence of the Kingdom of God into every sphere of society.
Central to his philosophy of ministry is his enduring maxim:
“The greatest investment in life is the investment in a life.”
For Pastor Samson, ministry is ultimately about people—investing in them, developing their God-given potential and empowering them to become all that God has called them to be. He believes that transformed people transform families, communities and ultimately cities.
Pastor Samson believes that the impact of the Church must be felt beyond the walls of the institution and demonstrated on the streets of reality. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, his ministry seeks to develop leaders, strengthen families, serve communities and bring hope to the poor, the weary and the overlooked.
His vision is clear: to raise a people who do not merely attend church, but become the Church wherever God has planted them.
Pastor Samson is also a devoted father to three amazing children.
